HABITAT MOVIE AND SLIDESHOW 2015 07 14 0430PM
You are God's Habitat.
It's been a blessing to work with Shantay on HER house. Thank you for letting us help. Shantay, Teon, Cle'Ionia, Cle'Shayia and Dewayne and Alphonso, too. Thank you, for your hard work, for your years of preparation. It won't be long. It won't be long until you move in. It won't be long until you relax in those bedrooms, fix dinner in that kitchen, and live in that living room.
The Bible tells us that as pretty as a house might be on the outside, it's what's on the inside that counts. And by that, I don't mean furniture and appliances, although those are very nice to have. When I say it's what's on the inside, you know what I mean. It's not the pretty things; it's the loving hearts. It's the hearts that know the value of being a habitat for God's Holy Spirit.
God is not a house. But God lives in a habitat. God lives in a building not made with hands. God lives in the building up of humanity. God lives in the building up of the earth. God lives in the building up of communities where everyone is valued, respected, and cared for. Everyone.
God lives where the foundation is strong. God lives where the foundation is Christ. From him the habitat of God grows like a living thing, branching out, reaching higher.
God is not a house, although God can be in one. God is the habitat we build with each other FOR each other. God is the habitat of your heart. God's Holy Spirit inhabits our hearts and makes us all stronger in love, in compassion, and in mercy.
We are grateful for Shantay and her work. We are grateful for God's work. And we are grateful to be a part of God's habitat for humanity.
